Do you have air conditioning?

Mystic River Resort is designed to embrace its natural jungle setting rather than rely on artificial cooling. Our suites do not feature air conditioning or televisions. Instead, each room includes high vaulted ceilings, overhead rainforest canopy, and both ceiling and standing fans to promote natural airflow. This design helps maintain comfortable temperatures throughout the day and night, creating a refreshing and authentic jungle experience.

Do you have WiFi service?

Yes, complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property, including all guest suites. While our rainforest setting offers a chance to disconnect, guests can still enjoy reliable connectivity for email, messaging, and light browsing.

Will my cell phone work at the resort?

Due to our remote location, cell service is not available on property. However, WiFi allows for communication through messaging and internet-based calling. Our team is also available to assist with any urgent communication needs.

Is the water safe to drink?

Yes. Our water is sourced from a deep well and filtered through multiple purification systems, making it safe for drinking. Additional purified water is readily available throughout the property.

What is included in my stay?

Your stay includes luxury accommodations and access to all on-site amenities, including swimming pools, jungle trails, river access, and wellness spaces. Meals, tours, and transfers can be arranged separately or as part of curated packages.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Is the resort truly off-grid?

Yes. Mystic River Resort operates entirely off-grid, powered by solar energy and supported by a private deep well water system.

How does Mystic River practice sustainability?

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. In addition to operating off-grid, we maintain organic gardens and an onsite farm where goats, sheep, lamb, turkeys, chickens, and pigs are responsibly raised to supply our restaurant. Fresh eggs and goat milk are used to create our artisanal cheeses and handcrafted soaps. This integrated approach allows us to provide a true farm-to-table experience while preserving the surrounding environment.

Do you offer transportation to and from the airport?

Yes, we can arrange seamless ground transfers between Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport and Mystic River Resort.

For guests planning a multi-destination stay, our team can also coordinate transportation to other locations throughout Belize, including the Placencia Peninsula. If your journey continues to the islands, such as Caye Caulker or San Pedro, we can assist with booking local flights or ferry tickets to ensure a smooth travel experience.

How far is the resort from San Ignacio?

Mystic River Resort is approximately a 20–25 minute drive from San Ignacio, offering convenient access to town while maintaining a private and secluded setting.

Do I need a 4x4 vehicle?

A 4x4 vehicle is recommended during the rainy season, typically from August through October, due to sections of unpaved road. During the dry season, most standard vehicles can access the resort comfortably.

Should I book tours in advance?

We recommend booking tours in advance, especially during peak travel periods. However, our on-site team is always available to curate personalized experiences once you arrive.

Can you help coordinate a jungle and beach stay in Belize?

Yes. Many guests choose to combine the rainforest and the coast for a complete Belize experience. Our team can coordinate seamless multi-destination stays, including partner resorts in Placencia and other regions, along with all necessary transportation.

Is it easy to travel from Mystic River to the islands or coast?

Yes. We can arrange transfers to coastal destinations as well as assist with booking local flights or ferry services to islands such as Caye Caulker and San Pedro, making travel between destinations simple and efficient.

What should I pack for a jungle stay?

We recommend lightweight clothing, comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a light rain jacket depending on the season. Binoculars and a reusable water bottle are also great additions.

Are pets allowed?

To protect the natural environment and ensure the comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted.
